Gilbere Forte- Lord Knows (freestyle)

Gilbere Forte dropped an unreal freestyle that I simply had to post. Rapping over a Just Blaze product entitled "Lord Knows", Forte absolutely flows. He takes Drake's song and completely takes ownership of it. I was very impressed and it is one of Forte's last efforts before the new year. I Expect great things from this dude in 2012.

Rich Kid Sound System- I Want it All

Out of Miami, Florida, Rich Kid Sound System is a hip hop artist with a significant indie influence. This new track he put out entitled "I Want it All" is real catchy and he shows off his singing and rapping abilities. I am very excited for RKSS and I think they have a bright future. The Weekend- Echoes of Silence (Mixtape)

Abel Tesfaye busts out his third mixtape entitled Echoes of Silence. The 21 year old Canadian has really blown up this year, and this tape really shows why The Weekend has become so popular. House of Balloons and Thursday are his first two offerings and both are great so it's recommended you check those out as well if you have not already done so. There is no shortage of new sounds from XV. He has been coming out with a new song every week it seems like and this time he gives us "Learn to Fly", produced by The Awesome Sound and featuring Betty Trouble. Trey Palms- Time (Remix) (feat. Mr. Hudson)

Trey Palms gives us "Time", remixing Mr. Hudson's track, but gives it a completely different feel. Trey usually has feel good songs but he gets real deep on this one. It was a nice change and really showcases how much Trey has to offer. This is a great song and I am very happy to show it to you guys. Download and stream below.

My man Brenton comes up with another unreal remix of a classic OnCue song. I'm not gonna tell you guys which version I like better, I'll let you decide. Both are great but Duvall puts a great spin on the song that I really enjoyed. Check it.

Luke Christopher- The Tree in My Front Yard

This talented 17 year old comes out with another solid track, entitled "The Tree in My Front Yard". In this song, he incorporates a nice blend between singing and rapping. Plus, the dude produced the song as well. Talk about a talented young artist...His tape is set to drop shortly after the new year and I know everyone's looking forward to it. Sex Ray Vision- Mind Explosion 2011 (Mashup)

Unreal. The only word I have to describe this song...This is simply a the mashup of all mashup's. I couldn't even  keep up with the songs. They were so cleanly blended together. I have never heard anything like it. Sex Ray Vision is an extremely talented group. They have been coming out with songs every other day it seems and all of them have been phenomenal. This sums up the year pretty much. They took 40 different songs from the billboard charts and blended them into one. Simply amazing. Check it out.

Big Sean- Keep it G (feat. 2 Chainz)

Big Sean and 2 Chainz team up to give us "Keep it G". Big Sean flows as usual and it was nice to hear him get on a new track. He's been featured on a few recently but this was a nice surprise. Enjoy.

Upper West- Slow Down (co prod. The Two Friends)

It has been confirmed that this is Upper West's last track before releasing their debut mixtape entitled Westside Stories. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the tape. These guys have really taken the college music scene by storm and have really impressed me. The vocals as well as the production are great and every song I have heard by Upper West has been outstanding. "Slow Down" is no exception. The Two Friends jump in to help co-produce the intro which samples Death Cab's "Marching Bands in Manhattan. The sample works very well and overall, this is a great final track to release before the tape.

Sex Ray Vision-Wild Ones (remix) (feat. Flo Rida & Sia)

Sex Ray Vision wastes no time to make a dope remix. The Flo Rida track just came out a few days ago and they already put together a sick electro remix. The synths are a big part of this song and they feature Sia much more than Flo Rida which is fine with me. These guys just keep producing hot track after hot track. I am really impressed by their remixes and I hope you guys like them as much as I do. The download link is below.

The Shins Announce New Album

The Shins are one of my favorite groups and I am very pleased to hear that they have completed the artwork as well as dished out the tracklist for their new album, Port of Morrow. The album is set to drop March of 2012. The Shins have revolutionized music in my mind and were on the first groups that I really started following in regards to indie music. G-Eazy has been quiet for quite a while but suddenly comes out of nowhere with an unreal track. "Lost in Translation" is an extremely unique song. Wiz Khalifa- California

There is good news for Wiz fans! He has released a chill track called "California". Classic beat and classic flow for a Wiz song, you'll love it. Khalifa is preparing to release his new mixtape called TAYLOR ALLDERICE, which is dropping soon. This song will most likely be on that project. Enjoy the song and allow this to hold you over until the tape!
